National Fitness Day is a celebration of getting active, but for students at NKC Dartford College, fitness is much more than a hobby. It can be the start of an exciting career.
Today, 16 September, is National Fitness Day, celebrating the benefits of physical activity and the positive impact it can have on our physical and mental wellbeing.
For some people, their passion for fitness can lead to a rewarding career helping others become healthier, stronger and more confident.
Turning a passion for fitness into a career
At NKC Dartford College, students studying our Personal Training and Sport Science courses can explore what it takes to work in this industry, combining practical experience with the science behind how the body moves, performs and recovers.
Whether the ambition is to become a personal trainer, sports coach, sports therapist, performance analyst or work in health and wellbeing, the courses provide the knowledge, skills and experience to take the next step.
And it’s not just about learning in the classroom.
Learn in facilities built for sport
Students at NKC Dartford College have access to the Österberg Sports Centre, a dedicated sports facility, with a large multi-purpose sports hall, sports fields, strength and conditioning facilities and a fitness centre.
There’s also a Sports Massage suite and clinic, providing a realistic environment where students can develop their practical skills and gain experience ready to take into their careers.
Ready to turn a passion for fitness into your future?
Whether the gym is already a second home or an interest in how the body works has sparked a curiosity about sport and science, National Fitness Day could be the perfect time to think about where that passion could take you.
