How Do I Enrol At NKC Dartford College?
Enrolment is the final step before starting your course at NKC Dartford College. During the main enrolment period, which usually takes place between late August and early September, you'll complete your registration, confirm your course, receive key information and officially become a student.
Our enrolment process is designed to make sure you're on the right course, have everything you need to get started, and can access any support you may require before term begins.
What Happens During Enrolment?
Meet you Tutor and Classmates
You'll meet your course tutor and other students studying alongside you. During this session we'll: You'll complete your enrolment forms and receive important information including: We'll create your student account and provide access to the College's digital systems and learning platforms. Some courses have tuition or material fees.If you're eligible for financial support, you should complete your Student Financial Support application before attending enrolment. You'll have your photograph taken for your college ID card. Your ID card allows you to: Your student ID should be carried with you at all times. We'll ask whether you have: Sharing this information helps us make sure the right support is available from your first day. Once you've completed enrolment, you'll officially become a student at NKC Dartford College. We look forward to welcoming you!
What Do I Need To Bring To Enrolment?
In order to complete your enrolment, you will need to have the following with you:
- Latest College ID card OR Identification such as Passport, Driving Licence or Birth Certificate
- National Insurance Number
- Completed Learner Support Fund/Bursary application form if applicable with supporting income evidence
- Relevant Certificates of qualifications already attained
What do students aged 16–18 need to bring?
If you are paying and your fees are over £200 and your course is longer than 12 weeks:
You will need to bring a filled out copy of the employer sponser form. Up to date proof of being in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance or evidence of low income as defined by the Department for Education. Confirmation letter from Student Loans Council if they are providing an Advanced Learning Loan/HE student Loan
Please note if you do not bring your payment, ID and (if applicable) evidence of benefits, you will not be able to complete your enrolment and you may lose your place.
Induction Week
What happens during Induction Week?
During Induction Week, you will:
- Receive your timetable (if not already provided at enrolment)
- Be given your Student Handbook with key information about college life
- Take part in a tour of NKC Dartford College
- Be introduced to the Learning Technology Centre and careers team
- Learn about the Students’ Union and class representative roles
- Get access to Moodle and other online learning resources
Induction Week is an opportunity to meet new people, understand how the college works, and feel prepared for your studies.
